The Lahaul and Spiti district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh consists of the two formerly separate districts of Lahaul (Tibetan: གར་ཞ་, Wylie: gar zha) and Spiti (Tibetan: སྤི་ཏི་, Wylie: spi ti; or Tibetan: སྤྱི་ཏི, Wylie: spyi ti). The present administrative center is Kyelang in Lahaul. Before the two districts were merged, Kardang was the capital of Lahaul, and Dhankar the capital of Spiti. The district was formed in 1960 and is the fourth least populous district in India (out of 640). It is the least densely populated district of India, according to the Census of India 2011.

Morning reach at Manali Volvo stand & transfer to hotel (Check In & Check out Time is 12:00 noon as per Hotel Policies & early Check In is subject to availability).After fresh up proceed for Manali local sightseeing which includes - Visit to Hadimba Devi Temple (This temple constructed in 1553 A. D. is Dedicated to Himachal’s Most Significant Deity Hadimba Mata), Vashisht Hot springs (Dedicated to Vashisht Muni & well known for its hot Curable water) and Tibetan Monastery. In Evening you will be free to explore the Mall Road & IBEX Market of Manali. Enjoy Dinner & Overnight stay in the reserved Hotel.

Today morning after breakfast have excursion trip to Solang Valley where you can admire the enchanting sights of the surroundings and can enjoy various thrilling adventure activities by own cost. As the winter approaches, the same Solang Valley takes a shape of a Snowy Blanket, thus forming a perfect vista for several snow activities, Evening you will be free to explore the Mall Road & IBEX Market of Manali, Overnight in hotel. OR Day: 2 MANALI – ROHTANG PASS (51 KMS) (Cost will be extra as per vehicle & permit availability approx. INR 3500/- ) After Breakfast Full day excursion to Rohtang Pass 51 Kms from Manali and gateway to ancient trading routes and the legendary valleys of Lahaul and Spiti, on the way Visit Kothi Gorge, Gulaba, Marhi, Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley. If Rohtang is closed due to snow, the excursion will be till the snow line. Overnight at hotel. Please Note: Since the National Green Tribunal is allowing only limited vehicle to Rohtang pass per day. Rohtang pass will be on subject to availability of permit on the spot with additional cost on sharing basis or individual basis as per guest requirement & Rohtang is closed on every Tuesday.

Today after breakfast we will drive you to Kaza (6-8 hrs.) En route we will visit the batal,losar & kibber village. Here we will have a cup of tea or lunch with a local family. Later on we continue our drive to Kaza where you will check in at your hotel. The evening is free to explore in the Kaza market.

Today after breakfast we will be driven to the village of Langza. Here there is an opportunity to walk around the village with your guide. You may wish to visit the monastery at the top of the village and on the way look out for fossils. Here you can also see the yak working in the fields or yak grazing in the pastures. If weather permits there is an option to drive on Hikkim, and the Comic village, which is now the world’s highest village (4,450 metres) joined to a motor able road. Later we will continue our drive to Kee Monastery and the village of Kibber. Once Kibber (at 4,200 metres) was considered the world’s highest village. There is also the option to walk to the nearby mountains where there are big herds of Himalayan blue sheep and snow ibex gather in the evening. Lunch will be at Kibber village, in a local restaurant, where you will be offered a choice of delicious Tibetan dishes. In the evening we will return to Kaza for a second night at the hotel.
